For far too long the Skeff in Galway has felt like a sleeping giant in Eyre Square, a wonderful pub but rarely the go to pub on a night out. Recently the venue has felt reinvigorated, the Galway Food Festival was the first sign of this when the Skeff hosted a number of excellent events, including a Whiskey tasting which I really enjoyed. The latest step in the Skeff revolution was the launch of a new cocktail bar, with a very special guest. The Skeff had a competition to name their new cocktail bar, the winning entry was like most of the best ideas was a simple one "Eyre Cocktail Bar" picked by Sinead Jordan who received a top class prize package from the Skeff group.
I love a good cocktail and thankfully Galway now has a number of outstanding mixologists serving a wide range of top class concoctions. I am privileged to have a cocktail named in my honour across Eyre Sq, in addition to fellow blogger Yummy Mummy so i was delighted to hear that a third blogger was being bestowed a similar honor. The blogger in question is one of my favorite bloggers and one of the nicest ladies I have come across in this industry. Suzanne Jackson also known as So Sue Me is an absolute phenomena when it comes to the world of blogging. Recently named as one of the worlds top digital influencers, Suzanne is not only a blogger, but an author with two best selling books and has her own very successful cosmetics range.
The night itself was absolutely superb, the attention to detail, as someone who is no stranger to attending events i'd have to give the team ten out of ten. Attendees were warmly greeted on arrival, once checked off the list and photos taken (as usual i managed to avoid this part) we were taken to the new cocktail bar upstairs. The crowd mingled and chatted as the staff treated us to some delicious finger food and of course plenty of lovely cocktails. The crowd was full of the usual suspects and a few new bloggers which i made sure to introduce myself to as i'm really nice like that. The lady of the moment arrived and took a few questions from the floor before heading in behind the bar to actually make her very own cocktail, the brilliantly named "So Sip Me"

Our host for the night Connachts Jack Dineen with Suzanne
She definitely has a career as a bartender if she wants a break from blogging
